Military History Tours Australia          Corporate Opportunities - Gallipoli 100

On ANZAC Day 25 April 2015, our nation commemorates the 100th anniversary of the baptism of fire that marked its entry to the world as a sovereign entity. A sovereignty built on the valour and sacrifice of a generation of our forebears. Australia emerged scarred but on the world stage; inexorably linked by friendship and respect to allies and then enemies alike.

During this memorable time accommodation on the Gallipoli peninsula will be definitely overbooked and under pressure. This will not be an issue for those travelling with Military History Tours as we will take our accommodation with us. MSC Lirica or a sister vessel will carry us from Istanbul, down the Bosphorus, across the Sea of Mamara and through the Dardanelles. We will live on the luxurious ship, disembark to tour the battlefields, attend the memorial services and view the Gallipoli 100 surf boat race.

Military History Tours offers your company the opportunity to reward your staff and/or customers with the unique opportunity to join our team of Australian Military Historians as they lead this memorial tour to Gallipoli in Turkey to be at the Dawn Service on that historic day and visit the battlefields of the Dardanelles Campaign. Our aim is to show your guests in detail where the Australians stormed ashore on the 1st ANZAC Day. We will also walk the ground discussing what occurred at each location, the strategy, tactics and outcome. We specialise in you being able to locate, visit and pay your respects at that particular site that is dear to your guests family and friends.

When all arrangements are finalised, we will be offering you the option to join the cruise ship in Venice on Thursday, 16 April, 2015, and sail to Istanbul arriving on Sunday, 19 April, 2015. Alternatively, if you join the ship on Sunday, 19 April in Istanbul, you may elect to not disembark on Monday, 27 April in Istanbul but stay on board and sail to Venice, arriving there on Thursday, 30 April, 2015.

Some may even elect to do the cruise Venice to Venice.

However, we will pay $100.00 per person for your booking and, as we do not sell any products other than our tour, we will ask you to do all flights, pre and post arrangements, insurance and other client requirements.

16. TRAVELLING WITH MEDALS: For those who wish to display their own or a relative's medals when showing their respects, the airline security situation must be recognised. Due to the pin at the rear of all medal displays, it is not always possible to carry them as hand luggage and they must be deposited in your main luggage (cargo hold bag). Valuable original medals in your cargo hold bag could be lost. Insurance can cover the cost to replace your clothing, not your great grandfather's original World War 1 or World War 2 medals. It is recommended that you purchase a duplicate set, and put it in your cargo hold bag. Leave your valuable originals at home.
