Later that morning our touring of the battlefields will commence. In view of the likely numbers of people we expect on the Peninsula, our programme will allow three days for visits to every significant Australian site, and others, over the time we will spend here. Lunch will be provided either on board, as a box lunch, or at a location on the Peninsula. The evening will be back on board. (B,L,D,)

Day 5, Thursday, 23 April, 2015. Today is very special. Whilst you have been touring, the Surf boat crews have been getting ready for the G100 surf boat race from the Dandanelles to Gaba Tepe. (website
www.gallipoli100.com.au shows the race course). Also, part of their activities has been demonstrating to the children of the Gallipoli Peninsula the rowing of surf boats, explaining their uses and providing some rides out of Kiyle Bay. Today, for those who wish, you will be taken to vantage points to watch the race. Others may enjoy a change of pace, either relax on board or spend some time in Canakkale on the Asian side of the Dardanelles. We expect a large fleet of boats will also be available to charter for those who want to follow the event on the water.
Day 6, Friday, 24 April, 2015. This morning is the final 10 km
sprint for all surf boats from Kum Beach to ANZAC Cove. Spectators
will again be catered for. Others, after breakfast will complete all
final touring of the Peninsula. There will be time for you to relax on
board. Dinner will be early as the Dawn Service (CLICK HERE for details) requires a very early
wake-up call. A final briefing will be conducted for all on the
programme for ANZAC Day. (B,L,D,).
Day 7, Saturday, 25 April, 2015. An early, early start. Full details will be provided as soon as we can. We will attend our own Pre-Dawn Service (CLICK HERE for details), this is timed to allow any with tickets to go on to the Government Service at North Beach. At the completion of the day's ceremonies, we will return to our ship. During the course of this or previous days, we will allow time for individuals to lay wreaths etc., either at the cemeteries where Services are held or at other cemeteries where you need to remember relatives or to lay a poppy or wreath on behalf of Australian or New Zealand organisations or individuals. During the evening, your ship will set sail for Istanbul through the Dardanelles and the Sea of Marmara. (Brunch, D)
Day 8, Sunday, 26 April, 2015. Today you have a free day in Istanbul to do some more sightseeing, relax, and have our staff reconfirm any onward travel arrangements you may have. As it is now past the
31 January 2014, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) ballot for places at the official ceremonies on the Gallipoli Peninsula on 25 April 2015 has now closed. The results of the ballot will be announced by DVA in March 2014. Please do not let the fact that you were not able to enter the ballot deter you from still travelling to Turkey for the Gallipoli centenary commemorations in April 2015.
We at Military History Tours still have places available on our Gallipoli 100 Tour and as part of that tour we have a full day planned for those excluded from the official ceremonies by our Australian Government.
Also, in August 2015, we will be returning to Gallipoli for the 100th Anniversary of the Lone Pine battle. This was one of the successful actions during the campaign and 7 Victoria Crosses were awarded to our attacking force. Consider being at Lone Pine with us in August 2015 for the Special Commemorative Service and also a full tour of the Battlefields on the Gallipoli Peninsula.
