Our Western Front Remembered Tours for 2009 offer unique experiences.

Our November 2008 Tour taking visitors to the Australian Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux on France on 11 November 2008 to stand in silence and remember those who, 90 years before, gave their lives in the pursuit of freedom, has just concluded.  CLICK HERE. for the tour archive and see what happened.

We are now taking bookings for our specialised range of tours in 2009.  Two of the tours follow one another, they can be taken as a single package, or as separate modules.  Beginning with Tobruk and the Western Desert campaign, in Egypt and Libya in February,  Anzac Day at Villers-Bretonneux, France on the Western Front ([CLICK HERE]   or activate the control to your left for video introduction), then followed by Galipolli outside the Anzac Day season; the Gallipoli tour can also be extended to include Kusadasi and Bursa, sites of great historic and religious significance.

There will be a tour of the World War 2 campaign battlefields in  Greece, Crete and Singapore in September 2009.

In November 2009, there will be another tour taking visitors to be at the Australian Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux in France on 11 November 2009 to stand in silence and remember those who, 91 years before, gave their lives in the pursuit of freedom.

Each tour offers a unique experience, take the package, and you will have experienced the sites where Australians fought in Europe, Africa  and East Asia during both World Wars.  

Travel with us and our Military Historians to those battlefields where the Australian and New Zealand forces have fought with great courage, tenacity and initiative.

Military History Tours are battlefield orientated, in that we examine military campaigns and ensuing battles, with expert discussion from our historians, we also experience the environment and culture of the areas we visit by contact with local guides and historians to discuss the way of life in those bygone years.

You don't need to be a service or ex-service person to join these tours. People come with us from all walks of life and for a variety of reasons: whether they had family involved in the conflicts or just want to understand some of the events which helped shape the world as we know it today.

A leap of the imagination is required when visiting the battlefields. They are now so tranquil and the very thought of war is unbelievable. Your imagination has to supply the ruin and devastation, the shell holes, trenches, smoke, flame and noise, the cold and heat, the fear and pain.

While viewing the war cemeteries is very much a personal moving experience, much of the adventure of the tour will be experienced as a group. We use our first night together as a briefing forum for what is to follow.  Prior to departure, each traveller will receive a newsletter covering general areas of interest including travelling overseas, the itinerary, flight details and what to expect. 

Tours are escorted by Military Historians familiar with each of the Battles.
