The Administration Team is well entrenched and all systems are falling into place. We have been able now to send video clips
(check out the first one below) to our web site due to the set up provided by our web master Lt Col John Howells.
All our drivers of the hospitality vehicles are now very au fait with the routes to and from the airport to both the Radisson Hotel and to the 2 hotels at the Gare du Lyon in Paris Central where all our tour 2 people will be staying for their 2 days in Paris before we head for the Somme.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank a number of organizations who have supported the Our Other ANZAC Day Tour organisation:
The Australian Newspaper for the stories, adverts and banners that we have with us in France.
Diagio – This company owns and distributes, in Australia, Bundaberg Rum and as the product is not available in France and as ANZAC Day traditionally has a shot of rum available at the Dawn Service, the company donated enough of the small bottles to have every person on the Our Other ANZAC Day Tour provided with their own “shot”. Diagio has also arranged for over 800 very small bottles of Bailey’s Irish Cream to be delivered to Amiens in time for Le Grande Bal Militaire.
Movers and Shakers Relocations, is one of Australia’s premier relocation companies and has supported this special tour by providing the decals for all the coaches and hospitality vehicles and for the special vests that are being worn by the historians and administrative staff.
We thank our supporters for their help in what will be a very special memorable event.
Colonel Graham Fleeton.
